My name is Janelle Hyde-Williams, certified instructor and master instructor candidate with swimsprout™. I have been teaching little ones to swim for 17+ years. I am a mother of three beautiful girls, ages 37, 29, and 18. I grew up in Allen and have lived here for 40+ years. I discovered independent swimming and floating skills for little ones when my youngest was an infant and we were looking for a swimming program for her. I was so amazed by what she learned that I decided to train to become an instructor.
I attended UT Dallas and earned my BA in literary studies along with my teaching certificate for secondary education. I completed some graduate work at UNT in special education. I have found no more fulfilling work in my lifetime than working with little ones as a swimming instructor. I thoroughly enjoy working with children and there is nothing more amazing and exciting to me still than watching a child master the life-saving skills that this program teaches them.
When I am not in the pool teaching little ones to swim, I am volunteering at my daughter’s school (Lucas Christian Academy), spending time with my family, taking care of my baby granddaughter, and spending time with good friends at the church my family attends. I am a follower of Jesus first and foremost, and my life’s goal is to use the gifts I’ve been blessed with to glorify Him and help others. I look forward to meeting you and to teaching your child how to swim and have fun in the water!
